    It’s almost official, headed back to Rainy again yay

    This time we’ll start on Memorial day weekend. Haven’t been up that early for 10 years or so. Will be interesting to see how different it might be although ice out is ahead of the normal schedule too.

    Off to buy more lures…

    Good luck, my trip is quite a ways out yet (early October). Are you targeting Northerns or Walleyes or Crappies (or all of the above)?

    Pike primary and walleye second. There’s a period after ice out and before weed growth where the pike seem to pull a disappearing act. If that’s the case then it will be more to the walters.

    Always curious about the big crappies but have never made an effort.
