Anyone running larger head units with either 34UHD or Live Scope?

Looking for better detail and resolution than my 93 sv plus.

Looking at the ultra 126. Seems to have the best bang for your buck screen size and Resolution .

Nice video, dumb question, why the strap on the 93.

I’m wondering how he has those linked, I find it hard to believe it looks worse on the 126 – or I don’t want to believe it.

If the are linked through the 93 would that just be “relaying” that image to the 126?

I don’t know any details. A friend and I were talking about livescope recently and he sent me that video that he found.

There has been lots of problems with the display units falling from the Garmin cradle so most folks have some method of strapping them in.

The Ultra unit has two network ports so I’m sure that is the link method.
Other note on the video. Higher resolution screens will not give you significantly better Livescope displays. I run an Ultra 106 and an EM 93sv plus unit and the display on the 106 is slightly better, but not enough to justify the price difference. The Ultra units do have a faster processor, second port for networking and the ability to run the LVS12 Livescope without the black box.

Henpecked – Thanks for the response. What transducer are you running for side / down vu?

Thanks for the response, pretty scary that the unit can come off the cradle!!

I don’t have a dog in the fight. But, did you see the size grid size difference? I’m assuming they are both measuring the same, it looks like the smaller unit is zoomed in more or doesn’t have the range the larger one is set it

I’m running a GT54 TM. It’s better than the GT52 I previously run, but I believe the new GT56 will be considerably better.

Do you notice a difference in the Side vu from your 106 vs 93?

Yes. Sonar resolution is much better on the Ultra unit. Livescope not so much except the screen size difference helps on the ten inch unit.

Would you say it is close to being on par with the humminbird SI? I was extremely dissapointed in the SI/DI on the 93 compared to my Helix 9 g2n.

Cannot compare them as I gave up on Birds years ago.

    Helix 9 G2N si and garmin 93sv+

Interference on the garmin is from the transducers running at the same frequency

How do you have the transducers mounted? Only ask because I just bought a garmin uhd93sv and also have a helix 10si (gen 1). Was hoping to have both mounted at the counsel to use the helix for mapping as well as 2d or di if I wanted but see differing opinions on whether or not you can run both ducers at the same time mounted on the transom.

They are on opposite sides of the main motor 3’ or so apart. Same height. . If I run them at different freq they don’t interfere. I think you can run your bar in higher as the gen 1 si only goes to 800. Don’t quote me On that.
