Sunline Super FC Sniper is great in 8# and under. I have used the 2#, 3#, and 4# on the ice and really liked the knot strength and how limber it was. 8# is a killer open-water line.

If I drop down to 2# on my spring bobber rod for finicky fish, I generally go with Maxima Ultragreen, which is the toughest 2# line I’ve tried. In the hands, it feels like a limp 3# mono. It has a little more bulk to it than most 2# lines. I use the 3# Ultragreen a lot. That and 3# Sufix Ice Magic are my go-to lines for panfish. Not a huge fan of 2# Ice Magic, though. Too many breakoffs.

2lb berkley vanish….you don’t need anything special really. I’ve used it on bodies of water with 20-25′ of visibility
